USA, California, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, entry facade on Third Street, financial district high-rises beyond

This spectacular building was designed by Swiss architect Mario Botta and completed in 1995. The builder was Swinerton and Walberg. The museum faces the new Yerba Buena Center for the Arts just across Third Street in the south-of-Market (SOMA) area. Both are must-see destinations for any visitor interested in art. The huge George Moscone convention center adjoins the Yerba Buena Center on the south.
