Bare Island bridge leading onto Bare Island and it's Fort is located at La Perouse Point in Kamay Botany Bay National Park in Sydney, New South Wales,Australia. Captain Cook made a note in his journal of 1770 re "a bare island" before setting foot at Botany Bay. This is a good location for plane spotting as it's on the flight path for Sydney Kingsford airport.
