chalice, second quarter 18th century, General: x 172 x 75mm, city crest, Chalice of colorless glass. The chalice has a slightly sloping base with folded edge and foot ring. Baluster-shaped trunk with six vertical, tapered ribs, followed by a knot known as the Silesian trunk. An air bubble in the chalice bottom. An image of the crowned coat of arms of Leiden has been drilled on the upright wall of the chalice. The coat of arms is held on either side by a lion, standing on an ornamental decoration of bandwork and flowers, 1973
