Lance Cpl. Joshua D. Fenton opens an ammunition case to retrieve an 81 mm mortar round during a deployment for training exercise at Fort. Pickett, Va., Dec. 11, 2016. The mortar range was designed to build upon the basic and advanced fundamental capabilities of mortarmen support in a field environment. Fenton is a mortarman with 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division.
