Egtvet devoted a portion of his earliest vearsin Skagit to the logging industry, which furnishedquick cash returns. His marriage took place March 15, 1885. MissAnna, a daughter of John P. and Charlotte (Erick-son) Shamstrom, becoming the bride. Mr. Sham-strom was a native of Sweden, born in 1815. andhe lived in the old country until 1851. At that timehe emigrated, settling in Iowa, where he success-fully engaged in farming until his death, January1, 1900. His place consisted of 180 acres of verv. MR. AND MRS.
