Pseudomonas bacterial nail infection. Close-up of the thumb nail on the right hand of a 59-year-old woman with green nail syndrome (chloronychia). This condition is caused by infection with the Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacterium. This opportunistic pathogen rarely infects healthy individuals, and usually infects patients with a compromised immune system.
