Comparison of snow cover on Mount Fuji, Japan


Satellite images of Mount Fuji, Japan, on 29th December 2013 (left) and 1st January 2021 (right) showing the difference in snow cover. In 2021 there is only a small snow cap after the lowest average precipitation for the preceding December since the year 2000. 2013 saw slightly higher than average snow. Images obtained by the Operational Land Imager (OLI) on the Landsat 8 satellite.
