Soyuz TMA-11M launch pad. Long-exposure image of the the service structure arms being raised into position around the Soyuz-TMA spacecraft and Soyuz/FG rocket at the Baikonur Cosmodrome, Kazakhstan, on 5 November 2013. The Soyuz TMA-11M mission launched on 7 November, carrying three Expedition 38 crew to the International Space Station (ISS): Mikhail Tyurin, Rick Mastracchio, and Koichi Wakata. They spent six months on the ISS. This spaceflight also carried the Olympic flame into space for the first time, returning five days later on board TMA-09M. The rocket included logos for the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics.
