Campbell River Arts Scociety Transformations on the Shore Drift Wood Carving Competition.
The Annual event brings novice, amatuer and Professional carvers to the Pacific shoreline of Campbell River for five days during the last week in June where they will transform discarded logs into works of art. About 30 carvers using chainsaws, mauls, chisels, knives and various custom tools until a new creation is released from the heart of the wood. The finished sculptures are later displayed in various parks and grounds and sponsors premises for all to enjoy all year round.
