It is one of the most distinguished spotsin a land notable for the nobility and distinction of its scenery. Crater Lake lies in southern Oregon. The volcano whose site it hasusurped was one of a ** noble band of fire mountains which, like beacons, onceblazed along the Pacific Coast.
