Bermuda buttercup (Oxalis pes-caprae) growing on the edge of lavada Ilha do Rosario Silves walk Algarve Portugal Europe


Oxalis pes-caprae common names: Bermuda buttercup, African wood-sorrel, Bermuda sorrel, Buttercup oxalis, Cape sorrel, English weed, Goat's-foot, Sourgrass, Soursob and Soursop; (Afrikaans: Suring). Family Oxalidaceae. Oxalis cernua is a less common synonym for this species. It originated in South African Cape Province and arrived in Portugal around 1825. It become pernicious weed invading every fallow field, golf courses and lawns.
