ALFALFA (Medlcago Sativa) It is an established fact that Alfalfa sown during August will prove more satisfactory than when sown during the spring, especially if American-grown seed is sown. After once established it will produce three to four hea\-y cuttings in a season, ihaking a total of from three to six tons of nutritious hay per acre. CRIMSON OR SCARLET CLOVER Crimson Clover has become wonderfullj' popular both for pasture and hay crop, also as a green manure for plowing in.
