ED R. LEVIN NATIONAL PARK, USA: THE INCREDIBLE moment a Red winged blackbird hitched a ride on America’s national bird has been captured. The eye-popping pictures show the brave blackbird – whose wingspan at 30 inches is just a third the size of the giant Bald eagle – skilfully followed the larger predatory bird in the air before settling comfortably on the eagle’s back. The eagle, which could have eaten the plucky blackbird, seemed relaxed about the encounter. The amazing images were taken in the Ed R. Levin National Park, California by software specialist Thinh Bui (58) from Fremont, USA.
