Victorian engraving of Tutbury Castle, Staffordshire


An 1890s (or earlier) engraving of the ruins of Tutbury Castle, which was largely destroyed during the English Civil War in the 1640s. "Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned in this castle, which dated from Norman times or before, but was destroyed in the Civil War around the 1640s. Mary was imprisoned in a maedieval tower." Illusrtation (engraving of line-drawing) is a partial cut-out.
