A unique little speci- men from the Salem Vein at Potts ville. Its leaflets are hairy, as in Pecopteris villosa; but the stalk (rachis) is smooth. "Except for the winged rachis and villous (hairy) surface, I should have taken this as a variety of Pecopteris arhorescens.^^ Lesq.—XIII.
