An American serviceman in civilian clothes helps a man with his bags at the Lungi Airport, just north of Freetown, Sierra Leone, after the arrival of a helicopter loaded with evacuees during Operation Sharp Edge. The civilians, who were evacuated from the midst of the civil war in Liberia, were processed aboard a Navy ship off the coast of Liberia before being flown to Sierra Leone.
