My travels in North West Rhodesia : or, A missionary journey of sixteen thousand miles . sicken me; so I retired to the library and hada good read. Tuesday, July have now reached our last complete dayon the ship. The weather has been lovely, and the ship the steadiest I have ever been we shall pass near where we werewrecked when coming home during the BoerWar. Wednesday, July of us were on deck soon enough to seethe sun rise. It was a glorious sight. Therewas a high range of mountains running in aline with the coast, and the sun came up frombehind them. The sea was quiet. Theheavens were bright. The gradually increas-ing light gave us a revelation of beauty neverto be forgotten. Table Mountain seemed toemerge from the sea in all its impressivegrandeur of size, shape, and shade; and whena closer view brought out the details of thegcene the picture was complete; for we couldsee the city itself extending along the base ofthe mountain as though supplicating its pro-tection. The view was worth the 6,000 mileswe bad voyaged to see it. The exclamations. READING ROOM.
