I may, however, mention some veryremarkable sculptures copied; one is a tree, whose trunk issurrounded by a serpent, and whose fruit is shaped likethe vesica piscis; in another is seen a youth whollyunclothed, save by a cap and gaiters, who kneels before asimilar tree, being before and behind by somefierce animal.
