In the latitude ofNew York sow as early as possible for early carrots, certain-ly not later than the end of April, so that the roots willmature before July. The roots of course are best when usedyoung. For a main crop sow Chantenay from June 1st toJune 20th. Carrots split and grow rooty if checked ingrowth.
