The Minne- sota State Fair brought thousands of visitors last week, but they left little money with the florists. The fair offered $1,300 in prizes for the florists and there were some good exhibits, especially in foliage plants. Practically all the prizes in this class were won by Holm & Olson, of St. Paul, the Minneapolis Floral Co. and John Vasatka, of Minneapolis, in the order named. Holm & Olson won first prize for table decora- tions, nsing onel<1inra and dendroblum orchids. and valley. The FlorlBt Shop, of Minneapolis, was second, using ageratums and valley, adfantum and lavender net. The Minne- apolis Floral Co. was third, using Lady Hllling- don roses, adlantum and smilax. Tlie Nuroery Co. was next, using red rambler rosea and green tulle. First for a wreath on easel was won by Holm & Olson; second, Minneapolis FlornI Co.; third. Ralph Latham; fourth, the Florist Shop.
