Typical traditional Straits Chinese architecture in the downtown area of Miri Sarawak Borneo Malaysia

A store in a newly restored/rebuilt shopping section of Miri, an oil-rich city in Sarawak, Malaysian Borneo. The architecture is typical of Southeast Asian towns, being traditional with the Chinese of the region, particularly noted for its arcaded pavement, allowing people to walk along the street and from shop to shop without walking out into the sunlight.
