On November 5, Customs and Border Protection officers at the Port of Savannah, Ga., announced a port-record 2,133 pound seizure of cocaine that occurred October 29, 2019. Over a ton of cocaine was found in a container of scrap aluminum and copper being shipped from South America to Europe. Chris Kennally, Area Port Director Savannah, addressed members of the press at Custom House.
