Some of his prints aredated as early as 1710. SCOTIN, Louis Gerard, the younger, the nephewof G6rard Scotin, was born in Paris in 1690, andtaught by his uncle. He came to London about1733, to help in the plates for a translation ofPicarts Religious Ceremonies. In 1745 he en-graved two of the six plates of the Marriage a laMode, for Hogarth, and several plates after FrankHayman. We have also by him : The Birth of Adonis; after ; after a few more. SCOTNIKOFF, Egor (Georg), an engraver, whoflourished at the end of the 18th century, was apupil and member of the St. Petersburg Academy,where he studied under Klauber. H
