Colonel Clark retired from India in 1915 onaccount of ill-health, but as soon as possiblejoined the and worked at theHome Office in London as Medical refereefor German civil prisoners. In spring 1918he was sent to the Isle of Man in connectionwith the Supervision of German Prison Camps. and was on duty there till his death in Feb-ruary 1919, working up to the last with charac-teristic energy and enthusiasm, in spite ofvery indifferent health. STUART, ALEXANDER FORBES: Pri-vate, ; son of Rev. F. W. Stuart, Church Minister,Gartly, Aberdeenshire;born there, 15 March1898 ; educated Cen-tral Public School,Gartly, and GordonSchools, Huntly ; . stu-d e n t in Medicine,1915-16. He was thefourth member of thisfamily to enter Aber-deen University. As a schoolboy,Stuart was an enthusi-astic Boy Scout and had done service in theCruden Bay neighbourhood before coming up tothe University, where he joined the On14 October 1916 he enlisted in the after training was drafted overseas, servingfirst at Salonika and then at Malta. While atSalonika the illness which later proved fatal,manifested itself and after some time he wasinvalided home and discharged on 8 March1919. He died at Noranside Sanatorium,Forfar
