Taplow, UK. 7th August, 2023. Ribbons tied on the gate of the former children's Mental Health Hospital, Taplow Manor Hospital (TMH) in Taplow, Maidenhead left by former patients and their families. A campaign group set up by former in-patients and their families called First Do No Harm, recently held a vigil outside TMH. The former hospital "at the centre of rape and death inquiries" where 50 patients who alleged "systemic abuse" has now closed permanently. Taplow Manor is reported to be "facing a police investigation and criminal prosecution by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) after the death of a 14-year-old girl, and another police inquiry into the alleged rape of a child involving two staff members". "An investigation by the Independent Newspaper has led to "30 new clinical negligence claims by former patients, represented by law firm Hutcheon Law, against the Huntercombe Group hospitals".
