Northern India, Ladakh. Overview from Leh into the Indus Valley


Leh: Prayer flags on the highest point of Leh. They are meant to carry the traditional tibetan mantra "Om mani padme um" by the wind into all four directions. In the tibetan language they are called "Wind Horses" and shall bless all feeeling beeings. In the background one can see the fields of Ladakhs capital Leh, 11000 feet above sea level. [#0,26,121#]
