They must be prepaid to their destina- tion, and an entry fee of $2 should be forwarded to the secretary, Charles W. Johnson, 2242 West One Hundred and Ninth street, Chicago, not later than Tuesday of the week in which they are to be examined, or it may accompany the blooms. Both seedlings and sports are eligible to be shown before these committees, provided the raiser lias given tliem two years' trial to determine their true character; not less than six blooms of each variety are to be shown. Special attention is called to tlie rule that sports to receive a certificate must pass at least three of the five committees. The committees will be in session to examine such exhibits as may be sub- mitted on each Saturday during Octo- ber and November, the dates of which will be October 4, 11, 18, 25, and No- vember ], 8, 15, 22, 29.
