With admirable enthusiasm, passing eight-een mountain peaks, it penetrated deeply intothe territory of Transylvania, repulsing every-where the advance forces of the Austro-Hun-garian Army. The Rumanian populationeagerly welcomed the army of King Ferdinand,and the first impressions were favorable forthe action of the Rumanian press of the Alhes greeted this move withenthusiasm and even spoke of the end of theWorld War, thanks to the intervention ofRumania. 64i.
