The library of the late Edgar Sanders is now the property of the John Crerar library and the Horticultural Society of Chicago. It is said to be one of the finest and rarest collections in exist- ence. T. E. Waters states that January 1 he will resume his former connection with the supply department of Poehl- mann Bros. Co. The spacious Agmco conservatory at Schiller's north side store made possi- ble the display of the largest stock of Christmas plants shown there, nearly all of which was moved by Monday night. Among the outside assistants called upon by H. D. Schiller was Peter Pear- son. One of the most attractive Christmas windows to be seen was that of the Briggs Floral Co., at Sheridan road and Broadway. The color scheme was red and green exclusively, with poinsettias dominant. The pulling power of such a display was demonstrated, for Christ- mas night saw what looked like a dis- mantled store. O. W. Frese went to the hospital December 27, for the removal of a tumor. A host of friends wish him well. A feature of the Christmas offerings of Stollery Bros, was small poinsettia plants lavishly decked with red ribbon. Scores of such plants were sold. Other plants, particularly cyclamens, moved with a
