Lewis Pullman, the son of Salter and Elizabeth (Lewis) Pullman, was bornin Rhode Island, July 26, 1800. He married at Auburn, N. Y., Sept. 24,1825, Emily C. Minton, eldest daughter of James and Theodosia (Lewis)Minton, who was born at Auburn, Aug. 14, 1808. They removed to Chau-tauqua Co., in January, 1830; and, in the following year, Mr. Pullman pur-chased and settled upon a part of lot 21, tp. 5, being the tract commonlyknown as the Budlong farm.
