A third and still largei boat, the £ tperiment, launched Deo tnbei 22, 1664, appears to have I" sloop. Tins vessel sailed l>\ wa) ol the Thames in April 1665 and went to Oporto, Portugal. She left Portugal < Ictober 20, 1665, foi home, but apparently went down with .ill hands in a seven storm. For 18 years IVtn did no more with the type, but finally, in Jul) 1684, he laid down .1 still largei sloop.
