The location of these structures is on the present-day Four corners of the USA, encompassing southwestern Colorado, northern New Mexico, northeastern Arizona, and southern Utah. The illusion of fire or flames occurs when the mid-morning sun strikes the rocks just above the ruins conveying the impression of fire or flames.
