MICHAEL MOHR The Jewish community of Montgomery, Ala., has an unusually large pro-portion of men who have won distinction in the various walks of life and areoccupying a high position in the city. Few are more esteemed, however, fortheir interests and activities and for their contribution to the progress of civicenterprise than is Mr. Michael Mohr. Mr. Mohr was born on July 4, 1849, in Oberlustadt, Rheinpfalz, Bavaria,the son of Jacob and Minna Mohr, and came to this country at the age of arrived in this new land of liberty and opportunity with little more than adetermination to achieve success in life. But he possessed the personal quali-ties and qualifications that usually make for success.
