This strongly sculptural granite and soapstone building designed by architects Gesellius Lindgren and Saarinen was the headquarters of two insurance companies Pohjola and Kullervo The soapstone sculptures that surround the main entrance were designed by Hilda Flodin The themes are mostly drawn from the Kalevala epic and other Finnish folklore and mythology
