In the case ofthe anterior teeth, the uppers and lowers are distin-guished by their size and shape. The teeth on the rightside will be to the right of the film, and the left to theleft. Films of upper posterior teeth are frequently dis-tinguished by showing outlines of the maxillary sinus, while in lower films, the occlusal line of the teeth isgenerally concave, and the mandibular canal and mentalforamen may be slioA\m.
