An advertisement for volume I of The Yellow Book, which was published on April 15, 1894. The magazine, an illustrated quarterly, featured works by contemporary artists and writers, and ceased publication in 1897. Aubrey Beardsley, who designed this advertisement, was the magazine’s first art editor.
