ONE of the most difficult things onearth is to be sure that the newsyou are forwarding is absolutelycorrect. When forwarding the informationthat pigs were plentiful and packing housesrunning full time, I thought the news camefrom a thoroughly reliable source. Now itturns out that this was only a momentaryspurt, and, as a matter of fact, the packinghouses have barely sufficient to keep themrunning half time. Mr. J. Y. Griffin, thehead of Winnipegs largest packing house,left Saturday for Chicago and New away he will complete the purchaseof the machinery for the ammonia refriger-ating plant which is to be installed in theirlarge new packing house. This will be thefirst ammonia plant in Winnipe
