A Corinthian helmet, 6th century Heavy bronze helmet with a short neck-guard and short slits on the sides. Heavy, broad, extended nose-guard. Chiselled eyebrows with a fishbone pattern above the eye cutouts. Height 21 cm. Weight 1432 g. Reddish brown-green discovery patina with corrosion pits in places. Good metal retention.
