Lancia 037 Rallye
The Lancia Rallye 037 is the first rally car built by Lancia to Group B specification. Created as a collaboration between FIAT's competition department Abarth, Race car manufacturer Dallara and styling house Pininfarina, project 037 used a 2 litre four cylinder derivative of the Lampredi Twin Cam in a space frame chassis. It was the last two wheel drive car to win the World Rally Championship when it defeated the works Audi Quattro for the 1983 constructors championship. It remains the only two wheel drive car to beat 4wd opposition to the championship.
