The five major disciplines that the soldiers have to learn about are confined space, vehicle machinery rescue, ropes rescue, technology decontamination, and structural collapse. Army North executes the annual Vibrant Response consequence management exercise at the direction of Northern Command to confirm command and control elements of the nation’s CBRN response forces. Force Command’s linked exercise, Guardian Response, held at Muscatatuck Urban Training Center, validates how the subordinate units train to carry out the operations under the direction of a joint task force.
