Cucuron is a village (commune) located on the south side of the Luberon mountain range and is surrounded by slopes of grapevines and olive trees. The present village dates from earlier than the 11th century and its primary features are a long pond (l'étang) that occupies its main square, the ruins of a medieval keep, and two churches.
