Cruse, arose and in a brief speech said, As sure as I stand here themovement was headed by others than students. Before the opposition the motion was withdrawn. As a substitute for themotion offered by Mr. Smith it was moved that the body appoint a com-mittee to memoralize the boys to return to College; and then to take up thematter of having a complete investigation of the whole trouble, bringingthis to the attention of the Directors.
