Jean-Patrick Gille supports the "Free Tibet" protest demonstration held in Paris, France - March 10, 2010
### ENGLISH ### Paris, March 10 2010 : to commemorate the 51st birthday of Tibetan people's uprising against the Chinese occupation of Tibet, back in March 1959 in Lhassa, hundreds of demonstrators gathered at the Trocadero to protest against China's colonial domination of Tibet. The demonstrators, behind their leader Thupten Gyatso, president of the Tibetan Community in France, marched from the Human Rights square to the Wall for Peace, with a short stop at Alma Square, not far from the Embassy of China, to show Tibetans' determination in their fight for freedom. Several french politicians voiced their support to the Tibetan cause : Lionnel Luca, President of the Study Group on Tibet in french National Assembly, Patrick Bloche, Mayor of Paris 11th district and Vice President of the Study Group on Tibet in french National Assembly, Jean-patrick Gille, Indre-et-Loire Deputy, and Jacques BOUTAULT, Mayor of Paris 2nd district. ### FRENCH ### Paris, 10 mars 2010 : à l'occasion du 51ème anniversaire du soulèvement du peuple tibétain contre l'occupation chinoise du Tibet, en mars 1959 à Lhassa, des centaines de personnes se sont rassemblées place du Trocadéro pour dénoncer la domination coloniale du Tibet par la Chine. Les manifestants, répondant à l'appel de Thupten Gyatso, président de la Communauté tibétaine de France, ont défilé du parvis des Droits de l'Homme jusqu'au Mur de la Paix, avec une halte place de l'Alma, non loin de l'Ambassade de Chine, pour clamer la détermination des Tibétains à mener le combat pour la liberté de leur peuple. Plusieurs personnalités étaient présentes pour soutenir la cause tibétaine : Lionnel Luca, Président du groupe d’études sur le Tibet de l’Assemblée nationale, Patrick Bloche, Maire du 11è arrondissement et Vice-Président du groupe d’études sur le Tibet à l’Assemblée nationale, Jean-Patrick Gille, député d'Indre-et-Loire et Jacques BOUTAULT, Maire du 2è arrondissement.
