Marketing Wool.—^The claim is made that there is no open market for wool in the United States. For this reason it is difficult for the grower to know what his wool is worth. An open market would be a great help to the grower, but without a knowledge of about how much his wool would shrink in scouring, he would still be more or less in the dark. Owners of small clips are, as a rule, at great disadvantage in selling, for they cannot get in touch with agencies whose chief business consists in handling wool. With the development of more interest in farm flocks, conditions for selling small clips will undoubtedly improve.
