Wild boar in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, have become used to humans and will approach quite closely. They are considered to be a tourist attraction, but many locals consider them to be a pest, as they ruin gardens, cricket pitches and football are culled. At present they number approx 1500 animals.
