Le cerveau est constitué de 2 parties: les hémisphères cérébraux réunis entre eux par une épaisse bande de fibres nerveuses, le corps calleux. Avec le tronc cérébral, prolongement de la moelle épinière, et le cervelet branché en dérivation en arrière, il forme l'encéphale. L'imagerie par résonnance magnétique, qui ne produit pas de radiations est particulièrement précieuse pour les examens du cerveau notamment pour la fosse postérieure et la sustance blanche. Ici cerveau normal.
