Field Marshal Shri Shri Shri Maharaja Sir Juddha Shumsher Jung Bahadur Rana was Prime Minister of Nepal from 1 Sep 1932 to 29 Nov 1945 as the head of the Rana dynasty. The latter disapproved of Buddhism and the Newar language and led a campaign to banish Buddhist monks from the country.
