The skirt of such a striped gownwill otten be trimmed with three false tucks,these cut on the bias and so placed as togain a variety and effect; the middle tuckwith its lines running diagonally to the right,the other two with their stripes running tothe left. Again, a gown of striped materialmay have a circular skirt with a cleverly cutfront panel, the sides> and panel being cutdifferent ways of the goods, and this arrange-. front and overhanging both down and hat with the wide, brim turned up shapelyin front, is also seen; and, usually, this hathas its brim smartly faced with black moiro,silk, or satin in a coming way. * » » The charming and artistic hat shown in thesketch is a Paris model.
