A sweep of cliffs rising more than a 100 metres above the sea girdle the west of Gozo in Malta.
The stretch of cliff outside Dwejra in the extreme west of Gozo is a dramatic shear in the land falling into a deep and inky blue sea - the sea in the gulf outside Dwejra is riddled with caves and reputed to offer the best scuba diving to be had in the Mediterranean.
