This regiment did guard duty atCharleston, Winchester, Stevenson Station, Gordons Springs, andafter a service characterized by utility, returned on the 9th ofAugust to Indianapolis for discharge. The 151st Regiment, under Col. J. Healy, arrived at Nashville onthe 9th of March, 1865. On the 14th a movement on Tullahomawas undertaken, and three months later returned to Nashville forgarrison duty to the close of the war. It was mustered out on the22d of September, 1865. The 152d Regiment was organized at Indianapolis, under HISTOKY OF INDIANA. iXl W. W Griswold, and left for Harpers Ferry on the 18th of March,1865. It was attached to the provisional divisions of ShenandoahArmj, and engaged until the 1st of September, when it was dis-charged at Indianapolis. The 153d Regiment was organized at Indianapolis on the 1st ofMarch, 1865, under Col. O. H. P. Carey. It reported at Louis-ville, and by order of Gen. Palmer, was held on service in Ken-tucky, where it was occupied in the exciting but very dangerouspastime of fighting Southern guerrillas. Later it was posted atLouisville, until mustered out on the 4th of September, 1865. The 154th Regiment, organized under Col. Frank Wilcox, leftIndianapolis under Major Simpson, for Parkersburg, W. Virginia,on the 28th of April, 1865. It was assigned to guard and garrisonduty until its discharge on the 4th of August, 1865.
